Promise

Do you like to give people promise & at last you unable to make it? Or vice versa?

I seldom promise people, because I have a concept, which is once I promise, I must accomplish it. I don't like to give people empty promise! I felt like not respect people with breaking what'd been promised.


That's why I don't like people promised me at first, then break the promise later. If you unable to accomplish it, please do not promise people.


What do you think of "Promise" this word? For me, promise is not only between you & your partners. But, sometimes for friends as well. Promise doesn't means only for some occassion or functions, but even a small stuff that you committed you want to do it, that consider as a promise already.


For example, Ali promise to have lunch with Ahmad. Both parties has been agreed on the timing. Ahmad is rejected other invitation from colleagues & friends because he already promise to have lunch with Ali. On the other hand, a colleague invite Ali to have lunch together & he accept the invitation & break the promise with Ahmad. If you are Ahmad, what will you think? Other than irrespect, I also felt like Ali playing fool with me.


You know, I don't like that kind of feeling, especially when I reject everyone just because of you & at last you give me the answer is sorry with last minutes informed.
